I am Blane Barfknecht, Pastor of Chalco Hills Baptist. When I was 18 years of age, God saved me from the early stages of alcoholism. He brought people into my life that showed me that, despite the things I had done wrong, God loves me. This love was proved when he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die for the forgiveness of my sins. Shortly after I trusted in Jesus, God burdened my heart to serve him with all of my life. I received a Bachelor’s degree in 2003 and a Master of Divinity in 2005 from Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary in Ankeny, Iowa. I was ordained in January 2007. Before starting at Chalco Hills Baptist Church, I served as assistant pastor at Gretna Baptist Church, in Gretna, Nebraska.

I am married to a wonderful lady named Kelly. We have six children who keep us both on our toes: Halli, Ian, Elijah, Jason, Ruby, and Emily.
